Who We Are
The Art Partners is a London-based art advisory. It was founded in 2015 by Maria Stocker (née Korolevskaya) and Anastasia Petrovskaia with a clear ambition: to go beyond conventional art consulting and build something closer to a Family Art Office — where clients receive a tailored, long-term partnership, not just transactional support at the moment of purchase.
Both art historians, Maria brought postgraduate research in neuroaesthetics from Goldsmiths and auction-house experience at Christie’s. Anastasia, no longer active in the partnership, brought curatorship experience and a background in private collection management.
What began as a practice built on collector relationships has evolved into something less common: an advisory service that brings together curatorial rigour, neuroaesthetics research, and deep market knowledge. The result is a firm that helps collectors build with intention, not to acquire.
Based in London and operating internationally, The Art Partners work with private collectors, families, and institutions.
Maria Stocker
Principal & Founder
Maria Stocker co-founded The Art Partners out of a genuine passion for art and a desire to bring collectors closer to the works and artists that matter. Her path into the field was shaped by years of training: Art Criticism at Moscow State University, Art Business and Art Marketing at Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London and New York, and postgraduate research in neuroaesthetics at Goldsmiths.
Before founding The Art Partners, Maria built her practice across some of the most respected institutions in the field — working at Christie’s, engaging with the Tate and the Serpentine Galleries, and serving on the advisory board of CADAF in New York.
Maria is known in particular for her advocacy of women artists, and her commitment runs through both her curatorial projects and the collections she shapes.
Today Maria leads the firm as its sole principal, advising private collectors, families, and institutions across Europe and internationally.
