Masterpiece London is an annual event which attracts 40,000 visitors for enjoying and buying the most exceptional art pieces from antiquity to the contemporary art. First established in 2010, it has a unique focus on cross-collecting. This year Masterpiece launches MASTERPIECE PRESENTS, a new large-scale dedicated exhibition space which will transform the Fair’s entrance. The new immersive installation will be created by renowned Chilean artist Iván Navarro, who represented Chile at the 53rd Venice Biennale.
The fair will be on view from 29 June until 5 July at The Royal Hospital Chelsea, Chelsea Embankment, London SW3 4LW

Mayfair Art Weekend

MAW 2017 is an opportunity to enjoy a range of free art talks, walks, and other events and to discover over 60 galleries and major auction houses in Mayfair. Why not to have a tour of three exhibitions at Hauser&Wirth with the gallery director Tom Hunt or join lunch tour of four exhibitions by leading female artists with Maddox Gallery Director Maeve Doyle, followed by a lunch at HIX Mayfair. For this weekend, the Royal Academy’s courtyard will turn into a cozy public space with food, drinks, and live music.
The event will run from June 30 until July 2 at various galleries in Mayfair

Art Night 2017

Inspired by Nuit Blanche in Paris, Art Night 2017 is a not to be missed event in the heart of East London. This contemporary art festival is curated by Fatos Üstek in collaboration with Whitechapel Gallery, and brings together 13 projects, 11 artists (and 59 additional projects alongside the main ones) to some unexpected, iconic locations and public spaces of London’s most trendy area. Ian Whittlesea invites the audience to take part in an illuminated meditation in the Bascule Chamber, located inside Tower Bridge and Anne Hardy presents a new large-scale FIELD work – an immersive sculptural and light installation in the former headquarters of the Nicholls & Clarke Showrooms.

The festival takes place on Saturday, the 1st of July from 6 pm until 4 am in East London across various locations

Chromophobia: Color in Architecture

What is the influence of colour on our life and the environment? A very special panel discussion of artists, scientists, designers and architects along with the on-going exhibition ‘Breathing Colour by Hella Jongerius’ will take place at the Design Museum. David Batchelor, an author of the book ‘Chromophobia’ describes that our fear of colour is so strong that we try to control it by limiting its use or disregarding it altogether. The matter of interaction between people’s understanding of the world and the colour in architecture will also be discussed.
This talk takes place on Tuesday, 4 July 18:15-19:30 pm at the Design Museum, 224 - 238 Kensington High Street, London, W8 6AG

The Embassy of Brazil in London hosts 'One Look in a Thousand Faces' – an exhibition by Sergio Rolim, Caxambu born visual artist. His paintings are taking the visitors to the imaginary world, which was created by the artist’s critical vision. Sergio’s original technique represents painting in strong colours using spontaneous brushstrokes and intricate textures.
The exhibition runs until June 29 at the Embassy of Brazil in London, 14-16 Cockspur Street, London SW1Y 5BL
