Perfume: A Sensory Journey Through Contemporary Scent

This is a rare experience, which will guide you through the world of perfumery over the last 20 years. The multi-sensory exhibition brings together the ten most important fragrances and explores outrageous and sometimes surprising smells, which evoke different memories and remind us of some special moments in our life. Each room of this show has tactile and visual references to make the approach to perfumery accessible and interactive like never before.
The show will be on view until 17 September at the Somerset House, East Wing Galleries Strand, WC2R 1LA

Young Masters Art Prize

On 21 June an international prize will be awarded to one of eighteen contemporary artists from all over the world who were shortlisted for the Young Masters Art Prize, which celebrates artists who pay homage to the skill and innovation of the Old Masters and art of the past. The fourth edition of this prize includes works of famous British, Dutch and American artists such as films by Amartey Golding, photographs by Isabelle van Zeijl and paintings by Lucy Beecher Nelson. This year a separate prize will be awarded for the best emerging female artist.
The exhibition of the shortlisted artists work runs from 19 to 24 June at Gallery 8 on Duke Street, SW1Y 6BN

Summer Exhibition 2017
Christopher Le Brun PRA 'FOLLOW'
The beautiful tradition to hold an annual Summer Exhibition is turning 250 years next year. Curated by Royal Academician Eileen Cooper, this show is very important for the young artists and art students as it is still the largest open-submission art exhibition which gives an opportunity to present works to a big audience (drawing up to 200,000 visitors). In a first for the exhibition, this year will have a performance piece – by Alana Francis and also includes three film-makers, with an entire room dedicated to Isaac Julien’s work Western Union: Small Boats. Every artwork (over 1200 works) at the Summer Exhibition is for sale with the proceeds going towards the RA schools programme.

The Royal Academy of Arts invites its visitors to enjoy the conversation between Tim Marlow, RA’s Artistic Director, and Daniel Buren, one of the greatest French living artists. A big supporter of conceptual art movement, Daniel will talk about the importance of interfering in public space. One of the most significant works of this artist is the permanent art installation for Tottenham Court Road station, commissioned by Art on the Underground.
This talk takes place on Friday 30 June 6.30 — 7.30pm at Tate Britain, Millbank, London, SW1P 4RG

Prem Rawat, a high-regarded speaker and ambassador for peace, has travelled the world for nearly five decades in order to speak with people internationally about peace and wellbeing. During his travels he was capturing the simple beauty of his life and that is how the two photographic series (Trice and Timeless) were created. “Trice” is focused on special moments within the most ordinary substances: water, air, fire.
